Adam Crampsie is a mental health clinician with around 20 years’ experience of working in the NHS, the private sector and for charities.

He worked in mental health in the NHS in the earlier part of his career before moving into private healthcare as commercial and clinical development director of Nuffield Health.

In 2020, he was appointed as Chief Executive of Everyturn, a Newcastle-based mental health charity that provides services across the North East and England. The charity holds a number of NHS contracts in North East England and beyond.

To cater for a huge upswing in demand for mental health services caused by the cost-of-living crisis, Adam is keen on introducing digital services, such as artificial intelligence chatbots, in order to help more people. He is hoping that more digital offerings from Everyturn will encourage more people to get help, sooner.

Adam is also non-executive director of Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust and a trustee of the Terrence Higgins Trust.

Additionally, Adam chairs the Voluntary Community & Social Enterprise Partnership Mental Health sub-group. He is also the mental health lead for the North East & North Cumbria Integrated Care Board, and a member of its mental health, learning disabilities and autism executive sub-committee.
