Christina is a highly effective social activist who played a pivotal role in the campaign to extend free school meals into the holidays during the COVID lockdown in 2020 – a truly remarkable achievement by a 16 year-old!

Passionate about tackling food injustice and the climate crisis, her work has been recognised by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who welcomed her as a guest on their podcast, and by the BBC, who named her in their most inspiring 100 women of 2020.

In 2021, Christina won the Diana Legacy Award for her efforts with the campaign group Bite Back in fighting for a fairer food system.

She began the campaign to see Free School Meal support extended through lockdowns, garnering 450,000 signatures on her petition; that campaign was later picked up by footballer Marcus Rashford.

She has spoken out about food inequality nationally including the BBC, ITV, and The Telegraph, and recently gave a TEDex Talk on growing up flooded with junk food but just a trickle of healthy options.

Christina has inspired adults and young people, while juggling studies and volunteering activities in her local community in London. She is Campaigner in Residence with Bite Back 2030, a member of Google’s Z-Council and Ambassador for Debate Mate, which aims to improve intergenerational communication.
