Sport management supremo Emily is Managing Director of Matchroom Multi Sport and the driving force behind the promotion, growth and success of a whole host of niche sports, such as Nineball pool.
Seen by some as an inspirational senior female figure within the higher echelons of sports management, in all the sports she works in Emily champions talented girls coming in.
Entrepreneurial Emily was Matchroom’s floor manager at the Nineball World Cup in Singapore when she recognised that with the right exposure, clarity and management it could grow significantly and become an entertaining international sport. Under Emily’s direction, Matchroom rebranded Nineball pool and has grown it to the point where it now has a $2 million prize money annual circuit around the world, with 10 fully-subscribed events, including the US, UK and Asian Opens, as well as the iconic Mosconi Cup and the World Championships.
Emily’s talent for taking niche sports and turning them into entertainment that appeals to a wider audience, while still appealing to hardcore fans, extends beyond Nineball pool to other sports such as ping pong, fishing, ten pin bowling, pool, netball and gymnastics.
