Adrian has led the transformation of the glass food and drink container business. He has a passion for technology, development and sustainability.
He is a huge advocate for decarbonising the industry with pioneering projects such as the adoption of biofuels and Hydrogen.
He is Managing Director of Encirc 360, one of the world’s only firms to both produce bottles for the wine industry, and fill them before distribution. This model has played a major role in reducing environmental impact by avoiding drinks being bottled elsewhere and shipped to a different continent.
Adrian joined Encirc (formerly Quinn Glass) in 1996 and has overseen its growth from a village in Northern Ireland to a global outfit with revenues in excess of €450m employing more than 1600 people.
Encirc now produces bottles for well-known names such as Jameson and Bushmills. It has its main plant in England, as well as its site in Fermanagh and an Italian operation.
Adrian sits on the boards of British Glass (where he is a former President), Glass Futures, the global centre of glass excellence in R&D, innovation and training, the WSTA (Wine and Spirits Trade Association) and NWBLT (North West Business Leadership Team).
