Alistair is a dedicated and impassioned manager working in the youth sector, who has made remarkable contributions to charitable initiatives and has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of countless young people.

Alistair currently serves as the CEO of Youth Moves, a volunteer-led youth work organisation, collaborating with local secondary education providers across Bristol. Alistair began with the charity in 2009 and has been responsible for its growth and development for over 13 years since then.

Earlier in 2023, Alistair and Youth Moves secured funding and permission to found a Youth Zone in Bristol, an £11m youth centre, which will allow the charity to support an additional 4,000 young people in the city.

In November, the results of a public vote declared that the new centre will be named ‘224’, which stands for “today, tomorrow and forever”, representing the length of time the new Youth Zone intends to support the young people of Bristol.

224 will be supported by a number of private and public sector contributions including Bristol City Council and the Government’s Youth Investment Fund.

Helping to improve the lives of youngsters on a daily basis is something that Alistair describes as the greatest privilege of his life.
