Liverpool FC left back and Scotland captain Andy Robertson is an exceptionally talented professional footballer who was instrumental in helping his country qualify for UEFA Euro 2020, their first major tournament since the 1998 World Cup. To date he has earner 67 international caps and successfully lead Scotland to follow up their qualification for the 2020 Euros with qualification for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He has also lead Scotland to the brink of qualifying for the 2024 Euros. After beginning his senior professional career with Queen’s Park in Scotland, Andy moved to Dundee United and then to Hull City, before signing for Liverpool in 2017. Since then he has made more than 270 appearances for this top-tier club and won a host of major honours, including the Champions League (in 2019), the Premier League (2020) and in 2022 the Emirates FA Cup and the Carabao EFL Cup. Away from the football pitch, Andy launched the AR26 charity to provide young people in Scotland with equal access to training, support, job opportunities and free football coaching. In the 2023 New Year’s Honours List Andy was awarded an MBE for services to football, charity and young people.
