Professor Christina Cunliffe is a pioneer in health care education who has created new pathways for many thousands of people to enter the healing professions with recognised qualifications. She was the founding Dean of the School of Health at BPP University and established the university’s nursing, post-graduate nursing, dentistry and psychology programmes. In this role she led the School of Health in becoming the first private sector training provider to secure a contract to supply the NHS with hundreds of trained nurses. Christina has also made a huge contribution to raising the profile of chiropractic globally to strengthen its place as an important, primary care profession for the prevention of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions.
As Principal of the College of Health, incorporating the McTimoney College of Chiropractic, she has transformed the college from a one-site higher education institution into having four locations, including the UK’s first chiropractic education facility in the north of England, and the first to have overseas educational centres – Madrid in 2022 followed by Hong Kong in 2023.
Most recently, Christina is spearheading further expansion for the College of Health with a new campus in Northern Ireland , serving the whole of the island of Ireland.
