While working as a doctor, Dr Elliot Street spotted an opportunity to improve surgical care through enhanced surgical training. In 2012 he took his idea a step further when he co-founded Inovus Medical, a manufacturer of surgical training technologies in St Helens, UK. The company works with global partners to produce simulators and digital technologies for surgical training and employs 65 people and exports equipment to 80 countries. Inovus Medical won the title of KPMG Private Enterprise Tech Innovator in the UK and a KPMG Social Impact award in 2023. Since 2022, Dr Street has been a member of the strategic adviser panel for LYVA Labs, a provider of innovation investment, and Liverpool Ventures. In March 2022, he became a member of Liverpool City Region innovation board. After completing his medical training at University of Manchester, Dr Street worked as a doctor at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust between 2014 and 2019. In 2017, he became an alumnus and mentor on the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme. He is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 small business programme. In 2021, Dr Street was included in the LDC Top 50 Business Leaders list and in 2020, he was recognised as one of the 42 most exciting business leaders under 42 years by Insider Media.
