Howard Kosky has been at the forefront of broadcast PR, not just in the UK but globally, for over 30 years. Known as the King of Broadcast PR, he co-founded the agency Markettiers in 1994 with the aim of securing media coverage on radio and TV for clients, not adverts but free editorial publicity. He has been remarkably successful with an enviable client list that includes government departments, large corporations, SMEs and charities. Thirty years on, Markettiers remains the clear market leader and one of Howard’s proudest achievements is that he and his team of PR experts and journalists have never failed to secure coverage for a client’s latest initiative, product or service. An award-winning innovator, he has led the company in many firsts including the UK’s first live-streaming media event, as well as a continuing programme of expansion with offices in London, Brighton, Manchester, Dubai, Los Angeles and New York. New services have also been added to keep ahead of advances in technology. This year he brought all divisions in the group together under a new name the AFO Group that also includes his latest acquisition Radio New Hub that provides bulletins to more than 400 radio stations. In total, AFO Group employs 250 people.
