She is the CEO of Nugent, a care, education, community and social work organisation with over 140 years of history. Among the specific services they provide are specialist schools and adaptable education for those with complex needs as well as residential services for children, young people, people with disabilities and the elderly. Nugent also provide specialist services that support families through adoption. Renowned for her ability to achieve excellence through leadership, innovation and operational efficiency, she has a proven track record of driving growth and improving customer outcomes. Before becoming the CEO of Nugent, Jo acted as Chief Governance Officer and Deputy Chief Executive.
