Kate Nash OBE is a change leader with over 35 years of dedication to transforming workplace inclusion for disabled employees. With her own experience of juvenile arthritis igniting a passion for fairness and inclusion, Kate has spent the last four decades delivering disability rights strategic and political advice. Kate founded PurpleSpace – the world’s only leadership development network for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). Today, PurpleSpace encompasses a vibrant community of over 4,000 leaders across approximately 175 employers, collectively reaching 1.5 million employees with disabilities. PurpleSpace was launched due to demand by ERG and network leaders after Kate published her first book, Secrets and Big News. Kate’s thought leadership extends to her role as the founder of #PositivelyPurple (formerly #PurpleLightUp), a global movement that originated from a single tweet. The movement included employees, allies and champions celebrating the contribution of employees with disabilities to economies all across the globe. Kate has also written a second book, Positively Purple, and she is currently writing 52 Ways To Get On At Work, a guide featuring stories from disabled professionals designed to inspire success and balance in the workplace. Kate’s achievements have been widely celebrated, including her appointment on the honours list with an OBE for services to disabled people. Kate continues to mentor ERG leaders and C-Suite executives of FTSE 100 companies and give keynote presentations at international conferences and summits.
