Mo Isap is founder and CEO of IN4 Group,– the operator of innovation hubs in the UK regions. He provides skills, innovation and start-up growth services and is focused on breaking down the barriers of entry into digital technology, as well as providing significant returns for local regions running the risk of being left behind.
He has been a real ally for women freelancers in the creative industries. During the COVID pandemic, he launched a free accelerator programme, FreelanceHER 100 for women in the digital, creative, media and technology sectors across the North West.
The programme aims to give women in the region access to the skills and confidence to pursue their ambitions. It is designed to help women entrepreneurs create, innovate, learn and grow their businesses through workshops and peer to peer mentoring.
FreelanceHER attracted a diverse group of women aged between 16 and 60 from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds; some were registered disabled, some identified as LGBTQ+.
Mo was awarded the Inclusive Skills Excellence Award at the WorldSkills UK’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Heroes Awards in 2023. The awards, champion diversity and inclusion within the business and technical education sectors.
The next cohort of FreelanceHER 100 will launch on 1 March.
