A visionary educator, renowned for forward-thinking initiatives, Richard introduced Mandarin as a core subject for children from Reception, launched a pioneering entrepreneurship programme, and created the acclaimed ‘Story of our Land’ curriculum. His passion for social mobility is evident through the Opening Doors scholarships, which support disadvantaged children. Richard was quick to react when the war in Ukraine started, offering 23 free places to those displaced by the war.
Richard was a driving force behind the creation of the London Academy of Excellence, while his commitment to diversity saw Brighton College become the first school in the UK with a Pride float.
