Roger Cooper is one of the most prominent producers in entertainment on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as being an outstanding philanthropist over many years. You are unlikely to see his name in lights in the West End or Broadway, but there is no doubt the retired top banker has had an immense impact and influence on British and US cultural life.

He is the co-founder of Red Spear Productions LLC, the name behind a succession of multi award-winning hits such as Back to the Future and The Tina Turner Musical.  As well as delighting millions of theatregoers, his shows have won well over 45 major theatre awards including Olivier Awards, Tony Awards and Evening Standard Awards.  A true global citizen on account of the many countries he has lived and worked in, Roger is also known for his British background – and generosity.

Away from the performing arts, he is an outstanding philanthropist whose generous donations and humanitarian actions have helped tens of thousands of people.  For over 35 years he has very generously supported and held top leadership roles in a large not-for-profit New York State-based social enterprise that transforms the lives of adults with learning and developmental disabilities.  In addition, he serves on the board of a university and is actively involved in a great many community activities.
