Ryan is an exciting young classical accordionist who has played for King Charles III and had performances broadcast live on BBC One and BBC Radio 3.
He has already given concerts across the UK, Europe and the USA. He has recorded with the Berliner Symphoniker and appeared as a soloist with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland.
Ryan has featured as ‘Rising Star’ in BBC Music Magazine, ‘Artist of the Month’ in Interlude HK, and ‘One to Watch’ in The Scotsman.
He has achieved international competition success, won a coveted BBC Radio 3 award, won first prize at the Bromsgrove International Musicians’ competition, and received assorted prizes at international accordion competitions in Italy, Germany, and China.
Ryan won the coveted Gold Medal in the 2021 Royal Overseas League (ROSL). In 2022 he became the first accordionist to win a place on BBC Radio 3’s New Generation Artists Scheme.
In 2024, Ryan will make his much-heralded debut at the renowned Wigmore Hall in London, which is one of the world’s great concert halls, specialising in early music and song, chamber and instrumental music.
