Professor Selva Pankaj, co-founder and CEO of Regent Global, is as an exceptional education entrepreneur uplifting many thousands of lives for the better. Since his arrival in the UK as a 19-year-old refugee fleeing civil war in Sri Lanka, his journey has been marked by an extraordinary commitment to helping others and expanding education opportunities, particularly for older, disadvantaged and international students, deploying technology in innovative ways to ensure they succeed. His influence is global. In 2025 Regent College London (RCL) launched University Study Centre in Dubai, not only serving students from the United Arab Emirates but also key neighbouring markets, including the GCC countries, India, Pakistan and Thailand. In another remarkable achievement, Regent European University (REU) welcomed its first students. A 100% digital university, REU allows students to study for an MBA wherever they are in the world. In the UK, RCL secured excellent results once again in the Office for Students National Student Survey 2025, outperforming the England sector benchmark across every major category. Beyond education, Professor Pankaj has influenced global technology through projects such as AI Regent plc. His philanthropy includes his leadership in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and the Global Unity Forum. His latest book – The Science of Success – is due for publication in March 2026.
