Dr Velislava Ivanova is an expert in sustainability with over 25-years of international experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies. She is EY’s Americas Chief Sustainability Officer as well as Global Strategy and Markets Leader for Climate Change and Sustainability Services. In this role, Velislava leads a team of over 500 professionals driving initiatives that create long-term value for the firm and its clients through sustainability advisory, reporting and assurance services. Her leadership has been instrumental in setting ambitious sustainability goals and delivering measurable business performance improvements. Ivanova is experienced in creating and executing sustainability strategies and programmes for major multinational corporations from a range of industries, including energy, manufacturing, retail, consumer goods and pharmaceuticals. Velislava holds an MS in Pollution and Environmental Control and a PhD in Environmental Biology from the University of Manchester. She has earned significant recognition for her contributions such as being ranked among the Top 100 Women in Sustainability by Sustainability Magazine in both 2022 and 2023, as well as the 8th Top Leader in Sustainability by Sustainability Magazine and 2nd among the Top 25 Sustainability Consultants by The Consulting Report.
